# Straight Line Graphs 2 - `ax + by = c`

This applet demonstrates the two forms of the equation of a straight line, `y = mx + c` and `ax + by = c`.

## How to Use this Applet

This applet follows on from the applet Straight Lines and Equations 2 which you should look at first. This program looks at straight lines whose equations are in the form:
**a x + by = c**, where a, b and c are all

**integers**. You can draw the line from the equation by first rearranging it into the form:

**. You can find the equation of the line by first finding its gradient and intercept, and then rearranging its equation into the form:**

`y`-intercept**a**. You can turn things on and off using the boxes at the bottom. Pressing the "Random" button will give you a random line which you can investigate. Learn by playing around!
